Vitamin B5

National nutrition surveys have shown for some European countries estimated mean dietary vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) intakes for adults of 4 –7 mg/day, with a range of 3–12 mg/day (13).

In the U.S., large national nutritional surveys were unable to estimate vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) intake due to the lack of data on the pantothenic acid content of food.

Smaller studies estimate average daily intakes of pantothenic acid to be from 5 to 6 mg/day in adults.
