Kevin C. Maki, Ph.D. is chief scientist for Midwest Biomedical Research and an adjunct faculty member teaching biostatistics and applied epidemiology at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.  He is a fellow of the National Lipid Association, The Obesity Society and the American College of Nutrition, as well as a certified clinical lipid specialist.  Dr. Maki is currently vice president of the Board of Governors of the Accreditation Council for Clinical Lipidology and chair of the Executive Committee for the National Lipid Association’s Board of Directors.  He earned a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s School of Public Health, and an MS in preventive and rehabilitative cardiovascular health from Benedictine University.
