Senior associate scientist with DSM Nutritional Products
Julia has a Masters of Public Health in Nutrition with her main expertise in nutritional epidemiology. She has been working as a nutrition scientist and clinical research associate with DSM Nutritional Products for 9 years. Her broad background in nutrition science, agriculture and microbiological process development allows her to write about topics as diverse as nutritional security, the gut microbiome, food production, clinical trial ethics and the effect of genetic polymorphisms on nutrient needs. Her research interests include the identification of nutrient gaps in the population, and the relationship between nutrient intakes and nutritional status.
